North Korea

Kim Jon Il has died leaving many North Koreans distraught. His son Kim Jon Un as leader of the country. In a landmark visit some influential south Koreans went and met up with Kim Jon Un and paid their respects to Kim Jong Il. Many now hope that peace can start and North Korea may not be a rogue state for long if they show signs of peace with the South!

general strike

Britain had a walkout on Wednesday the 30th of November with a large number of public sector workers on strike. However it was not a complete success as many just went shopping and the government refuses to step down. They are on strike about pensions but the government just doesn't have enough cash to keep them happy. If the union fat cats had their way Greece would look like they are a big economic force. But that's as likely as sheep taking over the world! The strike is over but talks are already starting about another one in the near future.

Will it happen? Only one way to find out!
